Martinez, Eneliza S. Uyjioco, Maria Theresa A. The development of information systems for almost any kind of business application has proliferated in recent years. Employment of such systems have improved the service of enterprises in the fields of marketing, product development and research and have increased their competitiveness which has contributed to the development of the country as a whole. The advantages of information systems can still be harnessed to promote socio-economic development if applied to the proper industry. Financial institutions such as the Asian Development Bank foster the progress of Asian countries by providing financial assistance in the form of loans. Before they can be granted, an evaluation phase has to be undertaken, entailing numerous reports of a variety of specifications, quite hard for manual processing. The concepts of database management and information systems have been used to come up with a system solely to assist the evaluation process of ADB, supporting the creation and modification of databases, report generation and statistical analysis. The said information system can be used by the Bank and improve the work of its personnel as well as its services. In the long run, the Asian countries will benefit because loans can easily be granted, necessary projects immediately implemented, resulting in possible savings in life, property and resources. 1992-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6990 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Developing countries Information storage and retrieval sytems Database management Computers--Banking use Asian Development Bank Computer Sciences
