Summary: | At the start of the study, the researchers conducted a preliminary study to be able to understand and familiarize themselves with the process and functions of the Accounting Department of the First Dragon Garments Manufacturing Corporation. Interviews were conducted, related materials were reviewed and the existing system was thoroughly analyzed. After identifying the problems plaguing the company, the members of the group proposed possible solutions and came up with the idea of developing a new system. The objectives were set and the requirements for the new system were determined. Using these requirements as guidelines, a detailed design was prepared. A lot of time was spent on this phase of the study for it paves the way for an easy implementation. Upon completion of the design, program coding took place. Clipper was the language used in implementing the system for the developers believe that it is the most applicable. After all the modules were tested and became operational, a new system evolved - the Computerized Management Accounting System (CMAS) for First Dragon Garments Manufacturing Corporation. CMAS is a complete interactive accounting system specially tailored for First Dragon. It is designed to give a clear and accurate picture of the organization's financial performance. CMAS provides management with a powerful tool for monitoring the company's financial position and identifying areas of productivity and profitability. |
