Pagulayan, Quintin J. Commodity Price Monitoring System (CPMS) is an information system for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It keeps track of the commodity prices that is subject to the jurisdiction of the department. The system provides the department useful information aside from the routinary reports that help them set and review commodity prices and determine price trends and other functions that enhances the department as a whole. Included in the new CPMS are the design modification and upgrading of the old system of monitoring. This means that most of the processes performed in the old system will be automated. Of course, this cannot be done without a new and efficient design of the system. With the implementation of the new CPMS, the department will be able to efficiently produce the necessary reports and graphs with ease. Having complete databases of all the basic & prime commodities, regions, provinces, localities, markets, stores, and prices of commodities will definitely provide DTI with useful data and information. Also, with the security feature of the system through the development of a database of all users and their passwords, no unauthorized user will be able to access the system. By using the query facility of the system will allow the users to search, display, and print any report or data they need. Lastly, CPMS also provides database file restoring, merging, dumping, and creating backups for more flexibility in terms of having several users working at the same time in their workstations. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7034 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Computer systems Primary commodities Databases Prices Information storage and retrieval systems
