Reyes, Elinore P. BIO-CAI's primary objective is to provide a supplementary learning tool for the students of Holy Family School. The research project was supported by the constituents of the said institution thereby providing the proponents with all the necessary data to accomplish their tasks. As a Computer-Assisted Instruction application software, BIO-CAI has a tutorial module, a reference module, a dictionary and a teacher utility. These features allows the users access to the lesson proper, the definition of terms, and in the case of the faculty concerned, access to the test questions and student records. Students will also be able to view their respective records via the student info module. In designing the software, the phased-life cycle was used to determine the various activities that had to be done so as to come up with a working and practicable computer-assisted instruction for biology. Several consultations with the users took place to ensure that the end-result will satisfy all their needs. The application software went through a system testing and debugging, an activity that ended with the presentation of the finished product to the users themselves. As a whole, BIO-CAI, an application software for Windows, is capable of instructing the students with the various concepts of Biology and at the same time aiding the faculty in their respective tasks, and that is to teach. Moreover, graphical presentations or display were embedded in the system to enhance the lessons. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7052 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Computer-assisted instructions Computer programs Computers--Educational use Computer-assisted instruction--Programming Teaching--Aids and devices |
