Ong, Karlson Lawrence Singh, Rano K. ICAID is a software package designed and created to assist users, specifically students and professionals in general, to have an adequate knowledge about derivatives. Derivatives, being a major topic under Differential Calculus, is one of the foundations of Calculus. Calculus is one of the most powerful tools in mathematics because it has a wide range of applications. It is for this reason that the proponents focused their attention on this area of study. ICAID's objective is to teach the fundamentals of Differential Calculus through the use of lessons and examples. Drills are provided for the users to apply the lessons presented. Moreover, user's mistakes are detected in the process of taking drills. In addition, examinations are also given to further test the user's understanding of the concepts taught. Aside from these, the package is also capable of accepting equations regarding derivatives from the user. The corresponding answer to the question entered is presented to the user in a readable and understandable manner. Although objectives were met, the proponents perceive that enhancements can be done to improve the system. These enhancements must be aimed towards the limitations set by the proponents. Thus, the proponents recommend that such enhancements be undertaken by future developers. 1994-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7066 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Computers--Educational use Computer-assisted instruction Computer software Teaching--Aids and devices
