Traditionally, medical students have to go through the process of borrowing and scanning numerous textbooks for researching and studying purposes. To fully understand a specific topic, one has to consult supplementary textbooks for technical terms along with its corresponding illustration. The task described above is a common practice among medical students. This task, however, can be tedious and time-consuming. For this reason, the proponents decided to develop a computer-based application on one area of medicine: the Human Skeletal System. Human Skeletal System (HSS) Hypertext-based hopes to address some of the typical problems encountered by pre-medical students. Aside from decreasing the time spent on looking for other reference textbooks in libraries, HSS also wishes to decrease the boredom of studying by providing graphical illustrations which are more realistic than textbooks illustrations. HSS provides different kinds of facilities to help students in their study of the subject. Aside from the textual information's and graphical illustrations, HSS offer users the option of creating documents and a printing facility for printing purposes. To top it all, Human Skeletal System Hypertext-based was made user-friendly so as to facilitate not only computer literates but beginners and non-premedical students as well. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7067 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Computers--Educational use Imaging systems in medicine Computer software Medicine--Data processing Hypertext systems Information storage and retrieval systems
