LS-TTL family functionality test system Cervantes, Jose Carlo Darunday, Jose Francisco Figueroa, Jerome Latoja, Francisco This thesis is concerned with the development of a prototype interfaced with a Personal Computer for verifying the functionality of digital I.C. devices specifically those in Dual-in-Line Package (D.I.P.) form. It forms an attempt to simplify conventional test methods by drawing on the processing capabilities offered by the computer. Through the application of selected input to the device-under test, the prototype simulates the actual use of the I.C., monitors its response, and evaluates its functionality on the basis of predefined I.C. specifications, all under the regulation of a specially prepared software. Although actual implementation deals with locally available 7400 LS-TTL I.C.'s only (excluding memories, microprocessors, and peripherals), provisions for expansion of hardware are made. Provisions are also made for the expansion of the information base upon which the tests are founded. The prototype is likewise supplemented with a software that allows the retrieval of device data upon demand, in effect replicating the data sheet that normally accompanies the I.C. devices. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7204 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Electronic digital computers -- Programming Interface circuits Digital electronics Automatic checkout equipment Electronic instruments Engineering
