Noise and its physiological and psychological adverse effects on humans have been a constant irritant. Water pumps installed in houses can be chief sources of this kind of unwanted noise. This problem can be addressed through noise suppression either by passive or active methods. Passive noise suppression through absorbent padding can be applied to a system, although active noise suppression is more preferred. An Electronic Noise Suppresser (ENS) is presented and evaluated under real life conditions, primarily to reduce unwanted signals in water pumps by reducing noise to its minimum. Based on the theory of destructive interference, this noise suppresser will take in the unwanted signals and convert it to a 180 out-of-phase signal at the output at a very fast rate to cancel the noise. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7215 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Electronic noise Noise control Feed-water pumps Noise -- Physiological effect Soundproofing Acoustical engineering Engineering
