Description
Summary:The thesis, ELECTRONIC TICKETING DEVICE, suggests an efficient and systematic way of recording traffic violations. It attempts to minimize the work of the policeman (e.g. faster issuance of a ticket to the violator). The policeman would be able to record/store the violation that a certain person has incurred without the hassle of writing down everything. The electronic device would be used to store the DLR No. of the Official Receipt (the receipt issued after paying all dues and after passing the required drivers license exam and all other requirements needed) which consists of eight digits, and the violations committed by drivers, which consists of two digits. The DLR No. would serve as the file name/license number of the driver instead of the actual drivers license number. The system consists of the electronic device and two or more computers. Refer to the accompanying Figure 1.1. The electronic device would be placed in a port which would then serve as an input device to a computer in the sub-central station. All sub-central station computers would be connected to a main computer in the central traffic command station where all information would be gathered. Information will be sorted and stored manually by operators in the central station. These informations would be readily available to any person who wish to update themselves on the total violations they have committed. In this way, this project would be most helpful for our traffic enforcers because they would be able to record violations faster and would be able to monitor the traffic violations committed by each individual.
