Summary: | In this study, the maintenance of the European Union aid ties to Southeast Asia after the Cold War is the dilemma. To achieve the objectives in these study specific questions with regard to the main problem were addressed. The interests of the European Union to the Southeast Asian region should be quantified in order to know why there is continuance of aid. Next question then to be answered is how the EU uses its aid to pursue its interest to the region looking for the political and economic bases distribution. After which is to find how the pattern altered post Cold War. And last is to search for evidences through policies that will confirm that the EU did in fact was able to exert their influence over the Southeast Asian region and was able to pursue what they wanted. |
