Description
Summary:Follow-up revisions on the thesis proposal were made, specifically on the title and hypothesis of the study. The hypothesis was reformulated to include the EU’s side of the bargain, which is its CFSP. The study deemed it necessary to consider the ability of the EU to arrive at a coherent common foreign policy asides from the political and economic factors that affect the relationship. The changes made in the hypothesis helped improve the presentation of the variables of the study. The revised hypothesis coherently and concisely discussed the relationship between the variables of the study: the EU’s CFSP, Russia’s Legal Harmonization which are the two independent variables, and the PCA as the single dependent variable. Furthermore, a detailed outline of the study was made, as a guide for the group in writing the body. The outline included for the first part, a discussion on the stand and point-of-view of the primary institutions of the EU and member states regarding the CFSP, specifically its decision-making process and implementation, then the political and economic challenges that Russia is currently facing for the second part. After the defense, we were tasked to create and include a conceptual diagram for our theoretical framework aside from the operational diagram previously drafted. This will contribute to the flow of our thesis and enable understanding of our operational diagram.
