This thesis introduces BODYBEST (BODY Building Expert SysTem), an expert system that aims to provide effective body building training programs for beginners as well as regular trainees, in the absence of inavailability of a consultant and/or instructor. The system provides users with the best known methods of bodybuilding enabling them to achieve their desired physique in the best possible manner. The expertise which can be derived from BODYBEST are opinions and facts that were organized and formalized into rules that make up the logic of the system. This knowledge was acquired from reputable sources which guarantee the correctness of the output. The system operates on data derived from users through user friendly interfaces then generates appropriate training programs with text and graphic instructional aids through the power of animation.
