Enanosa, Carlo I. Marcos, Marion Francis F. This study is mainly concerned in solving the problems of the engineering students of De La Salle University regarding stress and improper posture caused by the present design of the drafting table and chair. The need to redesign the present drafting table and chair is highlighted in this study. Chapter 1 gives the overall view of the identification of the problems that occur in the use of the engineering drafting table and chair. The background of the study, the need for a new design and the significance of this study are expounded in this chapter. In Chapter 11, Review of Related Literature, the different literature used in this study such as Ergonomics, Designing Workstations and Posture are discussed and analyzed to help the proponents in the new design of the drafting table and chair. The third chapter is the Research Methodologies which shows how the proponents did their research to gather all the necessary data in solving the problem and in coming up with the new design. This chapter can be considered as the framework of this study because it shows the overall design of the research for achieving its goals. Chapter IV discusses the theories considered by the proponents for their new design of the drafting table and chair. Here the selected theories from the Review of Related Literature are explained and applied to the new design. Chapter V, Design Process, shows how the proponents applied their theories in designing the new drafting table and chair. It also includes the different considerations made for the new design such as the anthropometric data of the students and the materials selection process. The Results of the Study presents the new design of the drafting table and chair and their features. Other factors for evaluating the new design are discussed in this chapter such as the testing process and cost evaluation. Comparison of the old the new design can also be found in this chapter. The last chapter, Conclusion and Recommendations, gives the summary of the results of the study and the proponents' recommendation for the application of this study. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7394 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Human engineering Design, Industrial Chair design Furniture design Tables Prototypes, Engineering De La Salle University College of Engineering
