This research project aims to develop an object-oriented class library containing the functions for digital image manipulation, with support for presentation software and cel animation. The project's purpose is to have a compilation of the best functions from existing image manipulators such as paint programs and photo editors. This library can be used by software developers so that it will save them the trouble of writing and rewriting routines for functions of image manipulation programs. The library can also support different graphic file formats, and can provide the developer the capability to define his own format. The main functions for presentation softwares and animation programs would also be included so that the library would have a wider range of applications that can use it. The library is by no means limited to the aforementioned applications. Some of its functions can also be used by other applications, even those that are in the field of artificial intelligence like fingerprint analysis, signature verification, and optical character recognition systems.
