Summary: | ISP-PPI is an Information Systems Plan for Pacific Plans, Inc. (PPI). The plan provides support to the company's task and strategies in pursuant to its goals and objectives. It takes into consideration the issues on how technology can be used to create new opportunities and provide competitive advantages to the company. Furthermore, it also tackles on how the current information system architecture of the company can be restructured or reorganized so as to boost the company's productivity. The methodology used for the development of the information systems plan is the Information Systems Strategy Planning model by James Martin. Some of the tools used in coming up with the plan are the Analysis of Goals and Problems, Critical Success Factor Analysis, Technology Impact Analysis, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats Analysis, and others. The results of the intensive studies made are used in coming up with a three-year information systems plan for the company to provide better information handling. The three-year plan includes recommendations for changes to the existing information systems and for the development and implementation of new information systems. |
