Information technology plays a major role in the computer industry. Some people thought that with the birth of Internet, information can be acquired for free. That was a misnomer, information has never been free. Convenience has its price. Companies could now subscribe the resume of the students via on-line instead of the laser-printed format. This thesis was made mainly for the students, and for the Career and Placement Office (CPO). With the Resume Builder, it eases the students' task in doing their own resume. The resume is made in the chronological format. Although this Resume Builder is formatted, the students still have to make their resumes in their own words. The Database Management helps in uploading the resumes done by the students from the Resume Builder to the server. This module also reports the resumes that is rejected by the server. Rejected resumes are those which have a damaged or different Access database (.mdb). Another function of this module is that it allows modifications and updates to the access database. This module also lessens the burden of the Career and Placement Office in producing the compilation of all the student resumes in a laser-printed copy. On the other hand, the Resume Search module is provided for the companies. This module allows the company subscribing to have access to all the resumes of the graduate students. They could search via top students, work experience, extra-curricular activities, location, personal attributes, and skills. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/7535 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Information technology Database management Data file handler (computer programs) Information storage and retrieval systems |
