Summary:Executive Summary. There is an alarming increase in rate of diseases reported by the Department of Health. One of these is the Dengue fever which has been claiming many lives of mostly children. The common reason is mosquitoes. Due to this fact, the DOH has released its campaign regarding the avoidance of such disease. An awareness of the epidemic will make people think of ways to eliminate such a problem. The only way to lessen the rate would be to eradicate these harmful household insects. The problem with the available insecticides is that they can pose danger not only to these insects but to human beings as well. A recent discovery that insecticides out of plants can help. Manufacturing insecticides out of wild plants which have defense mechanisms against harmful household insects should be seriously considered. One particular plant is the Tsitsirika plant which has been proven to kill not only mosquitoes but also houseflies and cockroaches. Producing this insecticide out of Tsitsirika will require the necessary process also used by leading manufacturers but with some modifications. It will also need different strategies to make this idea a success. Insecticide out of Tsitsirika leaves will not only give good profit but, it will also be of benefit to human beings. This will eliminate harmful household insects in a manner which can be friendly to all living creatures.
