Financial structure and corporate growth of publicly listed manufacturing firms in the Philippines for the period 2009 to 2014

The manufacturing industry has been continuously growing for the past few years in the Philippines. In line with the promising growth in the industry, the researchers aim to determine the relationship between corporate growth and financial structure of companies. The researchers employ panel regression in examining the performances of 16 listed manufacturing companies in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) from 2009 to 2014. The financial structure of companies is examined in relation to the percentage change in sales as proxy for growth. The results show that liquidity and debt structure have positive significant relationship with sales growth while leverage has negative significant relationship. However, debt maturity has shown a negative insignificant relationship with sales growth.
