Description
Summary:On the wings of love: a research study on the legality of the planned 5-year phase out of overseas deployment of female domestic workers is a research paper with the main focus of re-discovering the rights afforded to our migrant workers, particularly the female domestic helpers deployed overseas. This has been done by examining current laws, statutes, international conventions and the opinions of significant leaders and critiquing them based on their conflict with the highest law of the land and treaties, which our beloved country is a signatory of. Upon completion of this examination, it becomes clear that the 5-year phase out plan is indeed deemed unconstitutional. Though the dangers are real and present in other countries, this research highlights the importance of equal protection and opportunity for all citizens of the Philippines.
