Description
Summary:NORFIL Foundation, Inc. is a non-government and non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare, protection and development of neglected, abandoned, and disabled Filipino children. One of their programs is Foster Care which is a temporary and substitute family care by licensed foster family which is recommended alternative care to residential care (child-caring institutions and facilities) as it enables the child to live a normal family life. Foster Care enables the child the opportunity to be nourished, to be guided, to learn from right and wrong and to grow in the warmth and security of a loving home. NORFIL is currently intensifying their recruitment efforts to acquire more foster parents as statistics have shown that there are at least 2,184 recorded children waiting to be fostered in NCR and Region IV-A alone. However, the organization lacked the effective recruitment materials targeting foster parents that can be used during their recruitment caravan in religious organizations around NCR and Region IV-A. The recruitment materials by the thesis proponents were a call to action film and a brochure. These materials will be used by NORFIL's skilled social workers in their future recruitment activities in religious organizations to acquire more foster parents that will serve as loving homes to children who need it most.
