Description
Summary:Computer 3D rendering is a graphics software system designed to provide the students and users an introduction to the world of producing graphical images on screen. It is aimed to provide a PC-based visualization system foundation with extensive documentation incorporated in a layered design program from where students and users can research on. The system is capable of loading 3D wireframe images constructed from AutoCad. Basic rendering techniques are applied to produce realistic objects. This include applying modelling transformations, backface elimination, hidden surface removal, rasterization, and shading the object in relation to the light source. The system was developed in such a way that it could easily be modified or improved to include more advance rendering capabilities such as texture application, global illumination, and rendering volume data.
