Description
Summary:Creative International Enterprises is a manufacturing company that has a manual Sales and Inventory System. Through the course of studying and analyzing their system, problems regarding their current system were found. For instance, they don't keep track of their inventory, which leads to losses incurred. Sometimes the company orders raw materials without any idea if that particular material is still available or not. There were times when the customer makes an order and the materials to be used are out of stock already. Sales documents are not properly filed. Documents like delivery receipts or purchase orders get lost during the process of filing them. This problem made it hard for the company to issue sales invoice for delivery. In order to improve the current system of the company, an automated system was proposed. This new Sales and Inventory system was developed solely for Creative International Enterprises Company. It has been specialized to do certain tasks like computing the amount of materials to be used with the help of conversion factors inside the database of the system. This system keeps track of the company's inventory. It tells them when to reorder materials and how much of those are available for production. It automatically updates the inventory upon usage of raw materials to avoid incurring loses. In terms of sales, the system keeps records of documents such as job order slip, delivery receipt and sales invoice to prevent them from losing copies of these. The system is able to generate certain documents for easy preparation and printing. Some features were added to enhance the system. It is able to list the customers and their respective orders. Suppliers of raw materials have records as well. A list of inventory is readily available and reorder of materials too.
