Description
Summary:Performance effectiveness and efficiency of multitasking in corporate and manufacturing employees has been examined in this study. Multitasking was analyzed on how it influences work efficiency and performance effectiveness of the employees in their respective setting. These two factors will be tested through the use of Time Use Efficiency Scale (TUES) which was inserted with three-item indicator to identify multitasking and Performance Rating Scale. Both scales that was used in the study was translated into Filipino language in order to maximize understanding and increases accuracy of data. Expected result of the study is that multitasking decreases efficiency and performance effectiveness of an individual in a workplace. Both scales were administered to 60 participants in each setting and were analyzed through the use of correlation. The TUES scale was administered to the participants themselves, while the performance rating scale was administered to their manager or supervisor in rating the participants' performance effectiveness. Through analyzing these correlations among factors, researchers have found out that for both workplace setting effectiveness and multitasking has a positive correlation with one another, efficiency and multitasking has a negative correlation with one another, and efficiency and effectiveness has no correlation with one another.
