Description
Summary:Improper handling of heavy loads such as the 5 gallon water bottle available in the market causes problems associated to the spinal loading of the lifters. With the type of packaging playing a significant role as to how the users lift a water bottle, care and precautions are necessary in order to prevent the risk of developing low back problems brought about by spinal loading. This study aims to minimize the spinal loading experienced by the user. With the use of the Design Expert Software, a predictive model that would incorporate the factors associated to spinal loading such as the package design and the different angles formed on the arm and trunk would be formulated.
