Operating Systems provide users with an interface to help them interact with the computer especially in changing the configuration of the system. This can be done in the control center but since Linux has many developers, it is unavoidable that different control centers for different distributions will be made. This paper discusses the control centers in the different distributions of Linux and the problems brought about by these differences namely, inconsistency, rigidity and variations of components. Furthermore, the paper aims to provide a possible solution to the addressed problems. This is to provide Linux a control center that is compatible with different distributions that also allows users to add their own configuration modules. A detailed discussion on how this control center will be implemented is also provided in the paper.
