Summary: | Love is a story, according to Robert Sternberg (1996). He divided the relationship into three phases: Beginning, middle and anticipated ending. This study aims to find out if there is a relation between the love story preference of the individual and their desire to further the relationship, their relationship satisfaction and their commitment to their romantic relationship. Results showed there is a preference for Genre Stories among the three phases and statuses. The theme of Genre stories is about having a key element that serves as maintenance of the relationship. The relationship of the love story and the three phases of the romantic relationship were found to have an effect only on the courtship phase. |
