Summary: | Media plays a great part in assigning gender roles in the society. Men are tough, brute and confident beings and are seen as successful money makers. For them to be accepted by the society, they should hold an image that shows physical strength, power, and dominance over the opposite sex. Failure to meet the said standards would result in the questioning of ones masculinity. The stereotyping is not necessarily factual because men can do whatever they want especially when the situation arises for it. Gender roles should not limit or hinder them in choosing their field of work. |
