Description
Summary:The study was done to find out if the role of the yaya and the difference between the mothers and yayas' discipline style will affect the mother-child relationship. Results show that yayas' roles may be dictated by the mother or by her own perspective. Inconsistencies between discipline styles were observed through self report of the participants. It was found out that the presence of yaya does not negatively affect mother-child relationship when limitations are set. Their mere presence is more of an assistance to the mother, and never as a replacement.
