Description
Summary:Glamour and high profile are two of the most generally acknowledged aspects associated with the movie industry. Unknown to many are the tremendous returns that equally attract numerous investors to the industry. Despite the high risks involved, potential returns of up to more than 200% tend to favor the gamble that a movie will become a big hit. Premier Productions, Inc. was founded in 1946. Their first film PROBINSIYANA starring Carmen Rosales and Jaime De La Rosa was a big hit. This signaled the birth of what was to be called one of the legendary BIG FOUR of the Golden Age of Philippine Cinema-Sampaguita Pictures, LVN and Lebran. In 1988, Premiere evolved into Premiere Films International. In 1996 Premiere re-emerged as Premiere Entertainment Productions, Inc. with To Saudi With Love as its initial offering. This film was chosen as one of the entries in the 1996 Metro Manila Film Festival. Premiere has been in the movie industry for 52 years. With an experience spanning over five decades, no doubt that it will again be one of the BIG FOUR that will re-shape today's structure of Philippine Cinema. Premiere's tradition is to produce quality films and to aggressively tap the growing domestic entertainment industry. DAMONG LIGAW starring Romnick Sarmenta and Beth Tamayo garnered eight major awards in the 1997 Manila Film Festival. The movie has been making its rounds in various schools, provinces and film festivals abroad. BABAE starring Nida Blanca, Nora Aunor and Judy Ann Santos was awarded as Second Best Picture in the 1997 Metro Manila Film Festival. The company has seven major departments namely-Production Services, Film Distribution, Marketing, Motion Picture, Television, Roving Cinema and Talent and Management. The organization envisions itself as one of the premiere global entertainment network in the country. The company intends to expand its distribution business by actively pursuing distribution rights to an increasing number of films. Likewise, it intends to acquire rights to other films to add to its existing library. The proponents have created a web page for the organization to further strengthen its services to its clientele towards global economy. Premiere not only caters to the local market but also to several international film outfits such as Concorde, HBO and Paramount. The history, board and management, corporate restructuring and the seven major departments were being highlighted. Movie posters, movie clips and a list of Premiere films both past and present were also being included. Prospective talents would be able to submit their personal information by filling out the talent and management form. Browsers would be also be able to subscribe to the newsletter. They can also give comments and suggestions via email and by filling out the survey form. The website also includes links to other related websites. The proponents have worked directly with Ms. Danielle Santiago, Assistant to the Vice President for Marketing and Mr. Francis Hechanova, Assistant to the President.
