Description
Summary:This study aims to determine the presence of herding in the Philippines for the period 2003 to 2010 by first establishing using the Sias (2004) herding measure if the last quarter's mutual fund demand for a particular stock is correlated to the current quarter's mutual fund demand and determining if such correlation is attributed to herding or not. The other purpose is to identify the significance of herding on stocks to mutual funds managers and equity investors. The researchers learned that the mutual fund herding, statistically, does exist in the Philippines for the period 2003-2010. Despite this, the researchers are convinced that these findings are not encompassing, because of certain factors.
