Labrador, Jodelle Aleeza G. Macarubbo, Erika Franz R. Roy, Moira Ashley C. The present study tested the relationship between psychological well-being and burnout, with hardiness as a moderator. Conceptually, psychological well-being is defined as showing one's happiness and life satisfaction. It had six dimensions, namely autonomy, purpose in life, self-acceptance, environmental mastery, positive relations with others, and personal growth. Burnout is defined as being physically and emotionally exhausted. Hardiness is the ability to endure difficulties and accept challenges faced with. The relationships of the three variables were examined through a correlational analysis and regression analyses on a sample of 204 registered Filipino nurses with at least 2 years of nursing experience in a private hospital based across the Philippines. Results indicate that hardiness was efficiently able to moderate the relationship between psychological well-being and burnout. A high level of psychological well-being resulted to a low level of burnout in this study. However, due to the moderation effect of hardiness, a high level psychological well-being does not always result to a low level of burnout and vice versa. 2016-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8556 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Nurses--Philippines Nursing--Philippines Well-being--Philippines Burn out (Psychology)--Philippines Happiness |
