Description
Summary:With the recent developments in technology, today's telecommunication network has become more impressive and sophisticated. Another step further to this is having a communication system that comprises both audio and video. The continuous development of teleconferencing led to several technical advancements in data transmission, particularly image transmission. The commercialized video-telephone aims to improve visual image transmission over existing phone lines in terms of its image quality and video transmission performance. Digitization will be applied to both audio and video signals. Lossy image compression will be used for the video signal to reduce the transmitted image information and this would be synchronized together with the audio signal within the given bandwidth.
