Alipio, Vivian Taylor, Mari-Len Ann This study aims to investigate any physiological, psycho-social and brain dominance changes in a basketball player upon the implementation of the Visualization technique in their training program. The subjects were composed of twelve (12) players coming from the Philippine Cultural High School varsity basketball team. This exploratory study requires the use of the Injury Sheet, Stress Test, Team Performance Survey, Individual Behavior Analysis and the Brain Preference Indicator Test. Also, the average individual and team scores were obtained in measuring any changes in the athletes' performance. To evaluate the results of the test scores, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used and compared to the 0.05 level of significance. The study's results revealed that there were changes which occurred in the physiological dimension in terms of the average team score, while no significant changes appeared in the individual performance, levels of stress, and frequency of injuries. Overall, there has been a psycho-social change in the athletes' interpersonal skills within the team and no significant changes have resulted in the athletes evaluation of the team's progress and problems. Lastly, a significant shift in the hemispheric brain dominance have occurred within the athletes. 1993-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8633 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Visualization Basketball players Athletic ability Philippine Cultural High School |
