Description
Summary:This is a qualitative study about urban migration experiences in Metro Manila. The study aimed to research on the in-migrant perceived factors that influenced them to migrate and the problems encountered by the in-migrant in Metro Manila. There were 30 participants which include student, white collar workers, and blue collar workers with age ranging from 19-57. Thirty in-migrants were interviewed from Las Pinas, Quezon City and Manila. They were interviewed regarding their experiences, problems and reasons of coming to Manila. Out of the thirty data, five categories emerged. These are pull factors, environmental stressors, personal problems, experiences and effects. Based on the participants responses, there were additional themes that came out. These are the problems that they themselves have experienced, the effects of the outcomes of the problems and the environmental stressors, and the new experiences that they have acquired.
