It provides both international and domestic flights. As such, it has been considered as one of the pillars helping the country fulfill its industrialization goal. The locus of the study is on the domestic flight schedule determination rendered by the Scheduling division of PAL. Substantial attention was made on the occurrences of flight delays, flight cancellations and below break-even capacity flights. The study was divided into 15 parts which embodies the Company Profile, Industry Profile, Present System, Situation Appraisal, Statement of the Problem, Problem Analysis, Scope and Limitations, Review of Related Literature, Theoretical Framework, Methodology, Methodology, Model Validation, Cost Benefit Analysis, Implementation, Conclusion and Recommendation. Based on the present system of the company, a SWOT analysis was fabricated to ascertain the most serious problem that the company apperceive. Systematic tools such as the Why-Why diagram was utilized to determine the most probable cause of the problem. After which data were gathered and analyzed. Surveys were also done to justify the authentic problem. Then a model was formulated with regard to the concern faced by the Scheduling Division. However, such model should conform with the Flight Scheduling Guidelines set by the company. Thereupon, a software program was created to resolve and validate the model formulated. A cost-benefit analysis was performed to test the economic feasibility of the proposed solution. At this stage, a heuristic steps is necessary to implement the proposed system in the Scheduling Division of PAL. Then, a conclusion and recommendation with regard to the study was generated and the need for further studies with regard to flight scheduling was assessed. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8728 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Scheduling (Management) Production control Philippine Air Lines (PAL) Statistical decision Flight Optimal stopping (Mathematical statistics) Engineering
