Summary: | The accumulation of selenium in eight different organs of rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) was determined using the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The study was conducted under laboratory conditions. Six three-month old male rabbits were obtained for each replicate and divided into two groups, control and treated. The treated group was exposed to 4.5 mg/kg, a sublethal dose of selenium, injected intravenously for a two-week period. The following organs were analyzed: liver, heart, lungs, muscles, small intestines, large intestines, kidneys, and stomach. |
