Summary: | As online dating continues to influence the ideals and ways on how young adults date other people, this research study aims to explore the factors and strategies that young female adults consider for the purpose of attracting other online dating users as well as the ways in which these women believe their profiles affect their online dating experiences. In addition, the researchers would like to know the role of self-presentation in online dating through these said strategies. To answer the current queries of the study, the researchers will be conducting semi-structured interview to properly address them. The participants of this research are young female adults that fall within the following criteria: ages 25-40 years old, currently employed, and located in Metro Manila. The results from the interview procedures yielded two sets of themes that represented the most significant findings regarding the study's objectives. Overall, self-presentation was evident through the factors and strategies used by the respondents in creating their dating profiles. Self-promotion, a self-presentation strategy, clearly defined the majority of these factors and strategies. |
