Biodegradation of phenolic waste liquor in a three phase fluidized bed bioreactor
Biodegradation of phenolic waste was carried out in a three phase fluidized bed bioreactor by using a pure culture of microorganisms known as Klebsiella Pneumoniae. The effects of varying the air flow rates and solid loadings on the phenolic degradation were investigated. Also, changes in color and...

The use of 10 grams of activated carbon and a gas flowrate of 1725 ml/min gave the most satisfying results with as high as 77.14% BOD reduction and a COD reduction of 42.52%. 1996-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8794 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Sewage--Purification--Biological treatment Fluidized reactors Phenols Biodegradation Waste products Chemical Engineering |
