It is practical to pursue further studies for the development of this kind of treatment. A laboratory scale oxidation pond is designed and fabricated for this purpose. It is proven experimentally that this can be of help in the research for further development of actual oxidation ponds. It is evident from the results obtained that it is capable of reducing Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) & Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) concentrations. Experimental results also proves that the design is able to reduce as much as 76.62 percent for BOD concentration and 72.90 percent for COD concentration at a retention time of seven days.
