The Panukat ng Kaasalang Seksuwal (PKS) is a paper and pencil instrument that measures sexual attitudes. The indigenous method of pagtatanung-tanong was conducted with respondents aged 17 to 25 to determine the instrument's content domain. The initial item pool was reviewed by experts in psychometrics, human sexuality and the Filipino language. A preliminary try-out was done to pretest the instrument's performance. The main try-out was administered to 120 respondents consisting of males and females within the age range of 17 to 25, and belonging to three socio-economic levels. Test results were subjected to item analysis using item-total correlations. While factor analysis was employed in test validation. Eighty (80) items were retained in the instrument's final form as distributed under 5 factors, namely: I - Kaasalan sa Pagpili ng Kapareha II - Paninindigang Pang-moralidad sa Seks III - Kalayaang Pangseksuwal IV - Tulak-Seksuwal V - Kalawakan ng Pag-iisip Ukol sa Seks. Reliability was established for each factor using Coefficient Alpha. Factor I has a coefficient alpha of 0.89 Factor II has 0.90 Factor III has 0.88 Factor IV has 0.80 and Factor V has a 0.74 alpha. Separate norm tables for males and females were constructed for each factor using percentile ranks. 1992-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8827 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Sexual behavior Psychometrics Psychology |
