The normal or the natural - Dani's story is a confusion of what she really wants. She gets torn among her longtime boyfriend, Carlo, and someone she just suddenly started investing her feelings for, Mel, a lesbian. As the story progresses, Mel is a key role who will help Dani come upon her true identity. Discrimination among L, G, B, T community is still very much prevalent even if up to today's time, on where they slowly try to be accepted by society. Focusing on the bisexuals, the proponents believe that it is they who get the most bigotry amongst all four because not only they experience this from heterosexuals, but rather from their fellow homosexuals as well. A lot of people peg bisexuality as unreal due to the belief that attraction is and could only be present for one gender and not both. Silahis wants to leave its audience the impression that it is indeed real. Bisexuality is real and is present. By showing how bisexuals are in the present contemporary time, the students want to show that Dani's experiences could also be possibly be experienced by any other person from the feeling of confusion to having mixed emotions and eventually acceptance, even at the age on where they think that they alredy got their life figured out. 2016-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/8834 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Sexual minorities--Philippines Bisexuals-- Philippines Communication |
