Summary: | The research aimed to describe and examine the life course of the never-married males and females in the Philippines using their life stories. In the current research, life stories of never-married individuals (n=8), equal number of males and females, were interviewed and their life course was studied and examined through the use of content analysis. It was found out that family situations, significant life events, relationships, goals, motivations and conflicts were interconnected and such fit in in the elements of the life-course model. In addition, there were more similarities in the experiences of the never-married males and females than the differences. Lastly, there were unique categories under some of the themes that surfaced in this study. |
