Summary:The study aimed to measure Filipino social enterprises' in fulfilling their two equal objectives of helping the society and obtaining profit for the business' sustainability. The study has also made inquiries on what challenges social enterprises' commonly face concerning their dual-motive nature. The researchers made a case study, using Dawans and Atler's Four Lenses Strategic Approach, on two Filipino social enterprises of Gawad Kalinga's Center for Social Innovations namely Ending Povertea Inc. and Enchanted Farm Cafe. The research revealed that a strong support system is highly needed for a social enterprise to last. Social enterprises perform with their social and business objective by following faithfully what their visions says. The researchers found out that the social enterprises also experience the common challenges that social entrepreneurs face as suggested by the literature. The researchers recommend to other researchers to explore the framework to other social enterprises outside Gawad Kalinga's sphere.
