The instagram intensity scale was used in measuring the frequency of use and feelings of connectedness towards the instagram social media site while one of the subscales under the Multidimensional Body Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ) was used in measuring body dissatisfaction, specifically the Body Area Satisfaction Scale (BASS).
