Delos Reyes, Francelle B. The Philippines is located on the Ring of Fire and is susceptible to earthquake occurrences. Investigations for the vulnerability of buildings to earthquake should be immediately instigated to prevent probable serious fatalities. However, detailed investigation takes time and is expensive and the 2006 method used by DPWH is subjective. Rapid visual screening reduces these problems by determining the buildings which need to be prioritized. Assuming that all buildings in the area complied with the NSCP, and the area located in Zone 4 of the seismicity region, the RVS was conducted adopting the 2.0 cut-off assigned by FEMA for future detailed inspection. The ranking of the buildings was used to determine the succession of detailed inspection. 2007-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/9088 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Structural engineering--Philippines Building-- Design and construction Earthquake engineering Civil Engineering
