Summary:The current study seeks to explore the influence of social support on a graduating college student's purpose in life. This study also aims to identify what kinds of support from are essential in further motivating students to have a sense of purpose in life. The three types of support are those from parents, peers and teachers. The participants for the study are a total of 222 undergraduates, whose ages range from 18-23 from different universities in Metro Manila. Data were collected through the use of online surveys. The result of the analysis was the three types of support do predict a person's purpose in life. It also showed that respondents scored below average for the teacher support scales, suggesting that teachers may serve as a student's role model in schools but parental and peer support still have a greater impact on one's purpose in life.
