Homogenous purposive sampling was utilized gathering ten Filipino university students who are currently involved in recreational substance use. Narrative given were gathered through an interview proper and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The implications of the research show the need for both improving family relations and understanding what the causes for substance use stem from.
