Description
Summary:Philippine Fuji Xerox Corporation is a company that deals with rendering document processing and financial services to the public by providing them with quality business machines, such as the copier. Xerox copiers have been introduced in the Philippines in 1965. The company has provided quality service for 31 years. PFXC has recently been ISO certified. National Asset Recycle Center (NARC) recycles old copiers, which were imported from Japan. It boasts of state of the art recycling technology, which are at part with local standards. The proponents has observed and assessed their present situation regarding their system. Planned output forecasts served as basis for the production output for the NARC department. With the shift of management to sell brand new machines rather than recycle second hand machines, the NARC department forecasts that there would be a lot of changes in terms of their productivity. The problem that evolved from the system was that there would be an increase in operating cost per recycled unit, because of the perceived drop in NARC's forecast output for 1997. After determining the causes of the problem, perceived effects, as well as a solution was proposed to solve the problem.
