He tries to make his way out by making his own realm through creating various colors and shapes, this books serves as a social response to the distressing cases regarding the issues of the mental instability around young Filipinos (Magtubo Tomacruz). A Place aims to serve as a storybook that would help young readers to understand how they may share suppressed feelings and know themselves better through creating art (Lith 32)
The story was written through a narrative poem in the English language. It is targeted to those ages thirteen to fifteen years old, specifically from socioeconomic classes A and B. the story is accompanied by illustrations and creative output activities that can be accomplished by the readers. The colors of the book were initially in black and white then fully colored. These were executed through illustrations which were drawn and laid out in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. The end-product was a 6-inch by 9-inch paperback book that altogether consisted of forty-two pages. |
