The study utilized a descriptive research design and conducted in-depth interviews to gather the data vital for the study. The researchers employed two non-probability sampling designs which were the purposive and chain-referral method of sampling. Thematic Analysis was used to analyze the gathered data. Results showed that adolescents' engagement in sex was influenced by their perception of sex, the internal as well as the external factors around them. The adolescents' perception of sex that surfaced were biological, morality, expression of love, determined by gender roles, form of risk, and valuable. While internal factors that emerged were curiosity, biological and physiological nature of human beings, emotional involvement, personal choice/decision, personality traits, and the need to enhance self-image and masculinity. Peers, media, partner, family, environmental conditions, school, and church & society were the external factors that were identified by the respondents.
